CB 8 - Catacombs Recordings

The coloured backround to the table below indicates the date of the line-up of the group for the particular recording.
1963 1966 1968 1968 1975

These songs were recorded live at the Catacombs Coffee Bar in Manchester in the autumn of 1968 (22 September and 19 October), just after Eric had left the group - and before Joe joined.  There is therefore no drummer on this recording; it was in the imterim period before Joe Roberts joined.  The recording was probably made by Edwin Brain, a helper at the Catacombs.  The tracks 1-8 were recorded on Sunday 22 September 1968, and tracks 9-14 were recorded on Saturday 19 October 1968.  The latter was a farewell evening for the leader of the Catacombs, Alan Godson.

An MP3 download is available for each track. The words of all the songs on this CD are available on this web site, and there is also a page of the chords used.
